Former Australia opener Justin Langer plots path into international coaching?

Posted on April 30th, 2010 by admin

Langer could be appointed as a specialist batting coach, as well as a personal development and leadership advisor to Australia’s Test team as early as this week.

How much on an impact do you think Langer will have on the youngsters coming into the Australian squad as well as the more experienced players, on not only their batting ability but as a mentor.
I was always a huge fan of Langer as a player and i’m stoked he is remaining connected to the Aussie team and helping out. I think he will have a huge impact on the young Aussies coming through because of his experience and leadership qualities and will make them stronger in skill and mentality.

Opinoins?

Hopefully he could knock some sense into the Aussies.

How can I show leadership skills to my Highschool for college?

Posted on April 30th, 2010 by admin

I’m a freshman and I want to know the ways to show leadership like
ex) Student gov positions, etc

Try becoming one of your class’ officers! Or a club officer, and stick with it as long as you can. You want to show universities that you can handle it, and that you don’t give up easily. Most of all that you’re committed. I mean sure, you can just aim for straight A’s but as I’m sure you already know, colleges want well rounded people. Maybe join a sport, or join the school band. Also/or you can try volunteering at hospitals, animal shelters, offices. Your goal by the time you reach senior year is to have as many experiences to make you stand out as possible. But be careful, don’t put too much on your plate because if you try doing too much you will burn yourself out. :/
Good luck!

Referring to one or more relevant theories, discuss the concept of “leadership” in an organization.?

Referring to one or more relevant theories, discuss the principles of strategic management.

You are asking for a ten-page treatise on the subject. You will learn most by doing your own homework. Entire books have been written on leadership.

What is your leadership style and how does it impact your work place communications?

Posted on April 30th, 2010 by admin

What type of leadership style is appropriate to creating opportunities for professional development?

Basically if you uphold some basic traits like integrity, respect for others, peopleskills, and demonstrate positive drive and passion, you will get to where you want to be.

Challenge #1: Can you say something good about our political candidates?

Posted on April 30th, 2010 by admin

The political discourse in the United States is incredibly negative, I think, because we have a twisted view with regard to argumentation. Let’s try the opposite:

Clinton – An ambitious and talented politician who would make a fantastic national and world leader. She would be a very strong and confident presence if she were elected president.

McCain – He is his own man and would likely be a transformational figure for the GOP. His moderate views are exactly what that party needs. This would become far more apparent if her were elected president.

Obama – A brilliant rhetorician with an overwhelming charm that transcends mere leadership. Similar to McCain, he would be a transformational for the Democratic party.

I am proud of all three of our candidates. It’s been a long time since we’ve had such a great group of people asking us to let them lead us.
I seemed to have mistakenly referred to McCain as "her." It should read, "he."

I agree. These three have ignited politics like nobody before them. Obama had really pulled the younger generation in and has made them interested in politics. Heck, I’m 34 and for the first time, I’m excited to learn more about how the system works! That’s wonderful!

Hillary is tenatious. She doesn’t give up or quit. Even if you aren’t for her, you have to realize that that’s an admirable quality to have. She’s very intelligent, too. Also, it’s obvious she is a good mother. Her daughter has grown to be a wonderful adult. No scandals. No ‘incidents’ to cause the media to go wild. Hillary should be proud.

McCain…I’m not a republican but I will say that he is a tough old bird. He survived being a POW, which is amazing. He also seems like a nice enough man.
