Who are some famous examples of bad leaders?

Posted on April 1st, 2010 by admin

For my leadership class our group is taking a look at transformational leadership. That aside I’m looking for a few examples of bad leaders, and I’m having trouble coming up with some. So who do you consider to be a bad leader, or a leader that failed and why?

Well:

Hitler
Stalin
Kim Jung Ill
Saddam Hussein
Fidel Castro

ya know..cause they were uhm..dictators. And they all kind of made their countries not so great during their times.

Bush isn’t that great of a leader either..but I wouldn’t put him in the same category as Castro or Hitler. He’s just not the sharpest crayon in the box. lol

Hitler springs to mind, for some reason
So do others, such as Mussolini and Robert Mugabe
Stalin is also an example of how power goes one’s head
The French and Russian monarchs also failed quite miserably, which lead to revoloution in their countries, because they were so isolated from the poor in their country.
    hope that helps…

Hilter, Stalin, Pal Pak, Pharoah (the 10 plagues Pharoah), leaders of the Black Panthers, leaders of the KKK, the leader of the Roman Catholic Church who also signed the concordance agreement basically giving the Nazi regime the ‘green light’. (way to go genius). King Herod, Kim Jong ‘ill’, the clowns who thought WWI would actually be a good idea so they could use their new ‘toys’ for destruction.

Well, Bush Jr., because he is simply too firm in his decisions, doesn’t speak well or clearly enough to be of any good influence, and because he opposes gay marriage for no legitimate reason.

Hitler, because he based his leadership on his poor childhood and war experiences, and turned things into an all-out nightmare (which, thankfully, didn’t work in the end).

Richard Nixon, because he was a lying, greedy w*nker who pulled the law out on anybody who opposed him… and because he abused his rights as a leader of a free nation.

That Chiang Kai-shek fellow during the civil war in China (1950s), because he was a hypocrite who "supported" nationalism (while killing protesters with his secret police squads).

Fred Phelps, leader of the Westboro Baptist Church, not only because he bases his leadership on hate mongering and anti-LGBT opinions, but because he has no true concept of debate tactics (i.e. if it disagrees with him, he sues).

Kim Jong il, the leader of North Korea. He’s a greedy jerk who doesn’t care about the good of his people. If you google him or North Kore, you’ll find plenty of reasons to hate him.
